# List models

> Return supported prompt model IDs and defaults without consuming inference or credit. Pass provider and id as inference.provider and inference.model. The complete list is sorted by provider then model ID. Optional provider filtering uses gemini for Google models. default is always the API-wide default; default_for_provider marks each provider default. This catalog does not report prices, live provider health, credentials, or capacity. Managed PDF/image scanning accepts only the default OpenAI model; other catalogued OpenAI scan models require your own key.
