**Memo: Warehouse Scanner Rollout**

# **Summary**

Starting November 3, every warehouse will replace it's handheld barcode scanners with the new Zebra TC58 devices. The rollout will happen in three waves over six weeks, and each site will recieve its devices two days before its go-live date.

# **What changes for your team**

Pickers will log in to the scanner with their badge instead of a PIN. The handheld will show the next pick location automatically, so staff no longer need to check the printed pick list. Supervisors can see each devices battery level and last sync time in the operations dashboard.

Each site must nominate two device champions by October 24. Champions will attend a one-hour training session and will be the first point of contact for questions about the scanners during the first two weeks.

# **Schedule**

Wave 1 (November 3): Tacoma and Spokane. Wave 2 (November 17): Boise and Salt Lake City. Wave 3 (December 1): Reno, Fresno, and Sacramento. Old handhelds should be boxed and returned within a week of go-live using the prepaid labels included in the shipment.
