# Extended Mode

## Working Longer with Extended Mode

Next to the model picker is the Extended Mode toggle . By default the agent works in short bursts and pauses after each turn so you can steer. With Extended Mode on, the agent can keep working much longer on its own - ideal for big, multi-step tasks like drafting an entire document or making sweeping edits across many sections.

Turn it on when you want the agent to run with a complex task, and leave it off when you want to stay in the loop turn by turn. Extended Mode is available on the Revise Plus and Pro plans.
