Webhook Retries
Overview. When an event occurs, our platform sends an HTTP POST to your configured endpoint with a signed JSON payload describing the event.
Acknowledging an event. Your endpoint must return a 2xx status code only after the event has been durably accepted — for example, written to a queue or database. Any other status, a timeout, or a connection error is treated as a failed delivery.
Retry behavior. Failed deliveries are retried with exponential backoff for up to 24 hours. The first retry occurs after one minute, and the interval doubles up to a maximum of six hours between attempts.
Timeouts. We close the connection if your endpoint does not respond within 10 seconds; long-running work should be moved off the request path so you can acknowledge quickly.
Idempotency. Because retries can cause the same event to arrive more than once, use the X-Event-Id header to deduplicate events on your side.
Verifying signatures. Each request includes an X-Signature header containing an HMAC-SHA256 of the raw request body keyed with your endpoint secret; always compute the signature over the unparsed body and reject any request that does not match.
Troubleshooting. The delivery log in the dashboard shows each attempt, the response status code, and the payload, and lets you replay any event manually.
After 24 hours of failed attempts the endpoint is automatically disabled, and we email the account owner so delivery can be restored.

Is my documentation data secure and private?

Yes. Your documents are encrypted in transit and at rest, and they are never used to train AI models. The AI providers that process your requests don't retain your conversations or document content. Unreleased behavior, customer ticket details, internal limits, and product plans stay private.

Can I bring in technical docs and support drafts I already have?

Yes. Import an existing .docx, Google Doc export, or PDF and your formatting, headings, and tables come with it. Revise it with the agent, then export back to DOCX or PDF.

How is Revise different from Google Docs or Word?
