Revise has a built-in AI Agent that can read, edit, and write documents.
Using the Agent requires a free account.
What the Revise Agent Can Do
- Brainstorming - Generate ideas for topics, outlines, or approaches
- Drafting - Help write initial drafts or sections of your document
- Editing - Suggest improvements to clarity, tone, or structure
- Research - Help gather information on topics you're writing about
The Agent can browse the internet to do research, and compose documents with text, tables, lists, and code blocks.
How to Use
The Revise Agent in the right margin of the editor interface. Simply start chatting to tell the Agent what you're working on, and it will find ways to help you.
The Agent's changes will be highlighted in the document in green and red. You can click on changes to apply them individually, or simply click to apply all of them.

The Agent supports models from OpenAI and Anthropic:- GPT-5.1
- GPT-5.1-mini
- GPT-4.1
- Claude Opus 4.5
- Claude Sonnet 4.5
Each of these models has its own strengths and weaknesses. We encourage you to experiment with them.
