AI Rewriter
Quick Edits Without a Document
The AI Rewriter is a free, standalone tool for transforming a snippet of text in one step - no document required. Paste in some text, tell Revise what to do with it, and get the rewritten result instantly. You can reach it from the Rewriter link in the site header, or from the Tools menu inside the editor.
How It Works
- Paste or type your text into the input box.
- Pick a built-in prompt, or write your own instruction.
- Choose which AI model to use.
- Revise generates the rewritten text right beside your input.
Built-in Prompts
Browse ready-made prompts so you don't have to start from scratch. They're grouped into a few categories:
- Editing - clean up, shorten, make concise, or summarize.
- Tone - shift the writing to professional, formal, or more casual.
- Translation - translate a passage while preserving its meaning and formatting.
Using the Result
When the result looks good, Copy it to your clipboard, or choose Open in Editor to drop it into a full Revise document - where you can keep working with the AI agent, revision history, and the rest of the editor.
