RTF and ODT import, and a smarter agent
RTF and ODT import
We rebuilt both importers from scratch. Files from Word, LibreOffice, OpenOffice, WordPad, and TextEdit now come in with:
- Fonts, colors, highlighting, and paragraph formatting
- Lists with their numbering, including continued numbering
- Tables with merged cells and column widths
- Images, hyperlinks, footnotes, and endnotes
- Headers, footers, page size, and margins
- Comments and tracked changes, ready to accept or reject
RTF in any Windows code page or East Asian encoding decodes correctly.
Agent
- Plans long tasks. For multi-step work the agent keeps a step-by-step plan, updates it as it edits, and saves it with the conversation.
- Handles big tables. It reads large tables in windows and edits up to 50 cells per step, so a 1,000-cell table no longer has to fit in one read.
Also
- Email addresses and phone numbers become links (mailto: and tel:), both when you type them and with Cmd/Ctrl+K.
- Math formulas no longer render clipped on first load.
- Claude Haiku 4.5 is retired. The Free plan runs GPT-6 Luna, and Haiku selections switch to it automatically.
